The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between smartphone addiction and peer conformity with academic procrastination in college students. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method, with a total of 121 students selected using saturated sampling technique. Data were analyzed using multiple correlation and product moment correlation with the help of SPSS 27 for Windows software. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between smartphone addiction and peer conformity with academic procrastination (r = 0.414, p < 0.05), the relationship between smartphone addiction with academic procrastination (r = 0.409, p < 0.05), and the relationship between peer conformity with academic procrastination (r = 0.400, p < 0.05). This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional regulation and the tendency to self harming adolescents. This study is a quantitative setting, survey method. Respondents in this study consisted of 153 students at SMP X in Surabaya. Data analysis was carried out using the Spearman's rho test, the sampling technique was random sampling. Data collection was carried out using two scales, namely the emotional regulation scale and the self harm scale. The significance value (sig) obtained was 0.208 (p> 0.05), which indicates that there is no relationship between emotional regulation and selfharm. These results confirm that there is no significant relationship between emotional regulation and selfharm. The correlation coefficient value is 0.103, which is also smaller than the r table value at a significance level of 5%, which is 0.159.
Aulia Navysha Dewi Mustami’ah Andi Maulida Rahmania Copyright (c) 2025 Aulia Navysha, Dewi Mustami’ah, Andi Maulida Rahmania https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-08-29 2025-08-29 30 38 Burnout Among Emergency Room Nurses: The Relationship Between Workload and Job Stress https://meritum.hangtuah.ac.id/index.php/meritum/article/view/13
This study aims to determine the relationship between workload, work stress, and burnout among emergency room nurses at "X" Hospital in Surabaya. Specifically, it examines (1) the relationship between workload and burnout, (2) the relationship between work stress and burnout, and (3) the combined effect of workload and work stress on burnout. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method and multiple correlation analysis. Data collection was conducted using scales measuring burnout, workload, and work stress. The study involved 85 nurses, selected through simple random sampling. The major hypothesis was supported, with a correlation coefficient of 0.695, indicating a significant positive relationship between workload and work stress. Furthermore, workload and work stress were found to have a strong relationship with burnout. In this hypothesis, workload and work stress contributed effectively to burnout, accounting for 48.2% of the variance. The first minor hypothesis was accepted, showing a correlation coefficient of 0.489, indicating a moderate relationship between workload and burnout. The second minor hypothesis was also accepted, with a correlation coefficient of 0.577, demonstrating a moderate relationship between work stress and burnout. Hospitals need to consider strategies to manage workload and reduce work stress to improve nurses' well-being.
Annisa Fitriyah Lutfi Arya Wanda Rahma Syanti Copyright (c) 2025 Annisa Fitriyah, Lutfi Arya, Wanda Rahma Syanti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-08-29 2025-08-29 39 52 Hubungan antara konformitas dan kecerdasan emosi dengan perilaku agresif pada siswa usia remaja di SMK X https://meritum.hangtuah.ac.id/index.php/meritum/article/view/15
The rise of violent acts committed by students such as brawls, extortion, bullying, rape, and murder is an indication that aggressive behavior among teenage students today has led to a high level. Aggressive behavior itself is a tendency in the form of both verbal and nonverbal that aims to harm or injure others. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between conformity and aggressive behavior, and the relationship between emotional intelligence and aggressive behavior in adolescent students at SMK X. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The subjects were male students totaling 72 students with an age range of 16-18 years. The sampling technique used saturated sampling. The data collection technique used a scale. The data analysis used is product moment analysis. The aggressive behavior scale compiled by researchers based on the theory of Buss and Perry (1992) consists of 23 items (α = 0.925). The conformity scale compiled by researchers based on Baron and Bryne's (2004) theory consists of 17 items (α = 0.949). The emotional intelligence scale compiled by researchers based on Goleman's (2007) theory consists of 22 items (α = 0.962). The results showed that (1). There is a relationship between conformity and aggressive behavior with a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.720. (2). There is a relationship between emotional intelligence and aggressive behavior with a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.720. (2).
